Native Angeleno Becky Gebhardt performs, writes and records music both professionally and just for fun. She is self-taught on the bass and guitar and also plays the sitar, which she studied with teachers Paul Livingstone and Shujaat Khan. Raining Jane has been Becky’s main musical project for the past 14 years. They’ve  done a lot of rad stuff which you can read about at their website. The important part is that they’re a diy band that has made a living without the help of a manager, booking agent or label. And they’re still together. Hooray! Becky is Co-Director and Co-Founder of Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls Los Angeles, a social justice non-profit dedicated to empowering girls and women. And she spins a two hour set of music with occasional awkward and hopefully sometimes funny banter on Internet radio station InTraffik every last Wednesday of the month from 4-6pm.
